 <p> A team from the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences were digging for fossils when they stumbled upon the oldest tadpole fossil known. It was a 161-million-year-old stone with an imprint of a tadpole.The fossil is from the Middle Jurrasic, discovered in modern-day 2020. The discovery led to plentiful information on the evolution of frogs and toads. Before this, no tadpoles had been discovered before a tadpole from 145 million years ago from the Cretaceous era. This tadpole was giant, with average tadpoles nowadays being 1 inch while this ancient one being 6!
